The National Polytechnic Institute celebrates 75 years of its founding. More than seven decades of tradition in higher education have earned him wide recognition for his leading role in society. Leading institution in education and technological research, with deep roots and commitment to Mexico.

An organization born of the desire of famous Mexican-oriented nation building more prosperous, equitable and democratic. This compendium reflects the reality of a continuing struggle of men and Lazaro Cardenas del Rio, Juan de Dios Batiz Paredes and Luis Enrique Erro, among many others, who conceived the Polytechnic as an engine of development and a space for equality, support one hand, the industrialization of the country and on the other, providing educational alternatives to all social sectors, especially the disadvantaged. This resulted in opportunities for access to quality education for many young people who have received during their training, the technical and human resources to face life with better prospects for professional and citizen participation.

In the words of one of our illustrious founder, Don Luis Enrique Erro, is reflected the social sense of the Institute and its relationship to society: "the teaching of the nascent institution should correspond to the present and future needs of the productive apparatus." Consistent with this principle, the National Polytechnic Institute has been and will remain faithful to its mission, it is reflected in its motto: Service Technique de la Patria. To this we called and committed to be polytechnics.
